The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is calling for participants to take part in a field trial that will help shape the future of the Web on mobile phones. The project, part of an effort to improve the quality of Web access on wireless devices, is being overseen by Tim Berners-Lee, creator of the Web, who has said that mobile access to the Web has been a second class experience for far too long.
The field trial is being managed by Segala, a specialist in mobile handsets and product resting and a founding sponsor of the MWI. Segala will create scenarios for volunteers to follow when conducting their review of a preferred method of navigation. To register an interest in participating, send an email to mwi [at] segala [dot] com.
